Global Open University (TGOU) has been established
at Mbale, Uganda with a Letter of Interim
Authority from the National Council for Higher
Education (NCHE), Government of Uganda vide
reference number NCHE/U/027/1 Dated 30 June 2005.
The Global Open University (TGOU) has been
established in Uganda under the provisions
of the Universities and other Tertiary
Institutions Act, 2001 of the Government
of Uganda. The Global Open
University (TGOU) is being promoted with the
assistance from the World Institution Building
Programme (WIBP), for launching need based
vocational and job oriented Bachelor's, Master's
and Doctoral Degree
Programmes in the areas of information technology,
business administration, computer applications,
mass communication, ecology and environment,
disaster management, sustainable development,
total quality management, geo-informatics,
pollution control, eco-tourism, human rights,
bio-informatics, fashion
technology, medical lab technology, radiology and
imaging technology, intellectual property rights
etc. |
